Asturias weather: Cloudy skies, fog and heavy showers for Sunday

The State Meteorological Agency forecasts cloudy skies with possible fog in southwestern Asturias during the early morning and in the central area and mining valleys later on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Heavy showers with possible thunderstorms are expected during the first half of the day. Isolated showers may occur in the south of the region during the afternoon. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly in the south, while maximums will drop slightly in the northwest, with light variable winds predominantly from the east. In Oviedo, temperatures will range from 16 to 21 degrees; Gijón will see 16 to 22, and Avilés 17 to 21. At sea, conditions will be poor with showers, thunderstorms, and northwest swell decreasing to around one meter.
