Arroyo Venado bridge collapses, isolating residents in Buenos Aires province

A nearly 100-year-old bridge in Buenos Aires province collapsed, isolating residents. The municipality had preemptively closed it two days prior due to a broken pillar. The bridge, built in 1930 and connecting Arroyo Venado to Carhué, fell after a support gave way. Heavy traffic had been restricted for a decade, and locals had noted its deterioration. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. This collapse follows another century-old bridge failure in the province months earlier.
