Army linguist Lindsey Schmidt, who served with Green Berets in Iraq, stars in Pin-Ups For Vets 2027 calendar
Army veteran Lindsey Schmidt, an Arabic linguist who accompanied Green Berets on missions in Iraq, appears in the Pin-Ups For Vets 2027 fundraiser calendar featuring 13 female veterans in vintage-style photos. Schmidt served nine years in the Army, including deployments where she was the only woman in her battalion, gathering intelligence from Iraqi women and children. She earned the nickname "Xena" after troops witnessed her work alongside special forces. The nonprofit, founded in 2006, raises money for hospitalized and deployed troops, having donated nearly $140,000 in rehab equipment and visited over 25,000 veterans. Schmidt says the calendar highlights femininity and appreciation for American freedoms.
