Ark Aid Street Mission launches $5 million campaign to tackle homelessness in London

Ark Aid Street Mission has launched a $5 million fundraising campaign, called "365 Days of Rest," which is over three times larger than previous efforts. The campaign aims to provide 200 safe resting spaces and nearly 600,000 meals for the unsheltered. The initiative responds to a growing homelessness crisis, with a report indicating a 25% increase in homelessness since 2022. The City of London has limited funding for overnight resting spaces, prompting Ark Aid to seek ongoing donor support, particularly $50 monthly contributions. Executive Director Sarah Campbell emphasized the need for immediate support while long-term housing solutions are developed. The campaign aims to address basic needs for those living on the streets as the number of unsheltered individuals in London approaches 2,000.
