Argeș police officer faces pimping and human trafficking charges

An Argeș police officer is charged with pimping and human trafficking, accused of forcing a woman into prostitution in multiple European countries. The 33-year-old officer allegedly recruited a woman using the "loverboy" method and made her work in Switzerland and Ireland until November 26, 2025, keeping some of the earnings. Four individuals, including the officer, are suspected of exploiting four young women for sex in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, and Ireland. DIICOT is seeking their pre-trial detention.
