Used car sales in Argentina fell 12.6% in July compared to the same month in 2025, marking the sharpest decline of the year with 156,810 transactions recorded. The drop, reported by the Cámara de Comercio Automotor, was driven by sellers' reluctance to lower prices and aggressive discounts on new 0 km vehicles. Despite the annual decline, July was still the best month of 2026, up 0.8% from June. Year-to-date sales totaled 1,048,438 units, down 4.5% from the first seven months of 2025. The Volkswagen Gol led sales with 8,276 units, followed by the Toyota Hilux and Chevrolet Corsa.
