Arda Turan will coach Shakhtar Donetsk next season

Arda Turan, former Turkish national team captain, will become the new head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk after the season concludes with his current club, Eyüpspor. This appointment follows a disappointing season for Shakhtar. Turan's move is expected after his final three matches with Eyüpspor, who he led to the Turkish Super League. Shakhtar hopes the young coach can revitalize the team after finishing third in the Ukrainian Premier League. Turan, 37, is starting his coaching career after a successful playing career with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. The current Shakhtar coach is Marino Pusic, who has been in charge since October 2023.
