Arctech has signed a deal to supply 1.5GW of its solar tracking systems to PowerChina for the Al Ajban solar project in the UAE. This marks Arctech's entry into the Middle East market. The Al Ajban project will be one of the largest solar plants globally, generating enough electricity for 160,000 households and reducing carbon emissions by 2.4 million tonnes annually. Arctech has been expanding in the region since 2017, with plans for a new manufacturing base in Jeddah set to open in 2025. This will increase its local delivery capacity to 15GW.
