Archaeologists in Switzerland discovered two 2,300-year-old gold Celtic coins in a bog. The rare coins, likely offerings to gods, provide insight into Celtic economic and religious practices around the mid-3rd century BCE. These coins, found in a bog previously yielding silver coins, will be displayed in Basel in March 2026.
