Arangottukara Mullakkal Bhagavathy Temple festival begins with flag hoisting

The Arangottukara Mullakkal Bhagavathy Temple festival has begun with a flag-hoisting ceremony. The main festival, known as "Pooraghosham," is scheduled for January 2nd. The flag hoisting was performed by traditional individuals, committee representatives, the temple board, and locals. Festivities commence on January 1st with a costume exhibition, followed by the main festival on January 2nd featuring a procession with elephants and musical performances. The festival will include various traditional musical ensembles like Thayambaka, Kelikombu, Kuzhalpatt, and Panchavadyam. Several renowned elephants, including Pampady Rajan, will participate in the procession. The celebrations conclude on January 3rd with Panchavadyam, Panchari Melam, and a ritualistic offering.
