Aptera Motors reopens crowdfunding for solar electric vehicle production

Aptera Motors has reopened its crowdfunding program, allowing supporters to invest in its solar electric vehicle technology. This comes after the company raised $135 million from over 19,000 investors previously, but still needs an additional $60 million for production. The new crowdfunding campaign requires a minimum investment of $1,000, with shares priced at $14.80 each. Aptera aims to make solar-powered transportation more accessible and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Despite a previous investment round that raised only $700,000, Aptera is optimistic about engaging everyday investors to help achieve its production goals. The company plans to continue developing its vehicles, targeting low-volume production in early 2025.
