Apple updates iOS 18.2 with new lock screen control customization options
Apple released iOS 18.2 on December 11, introducing new features like Genmoji and ChatGPT integrated Siri. This update follows the September launch of iOS 18, which allowed users to change or remove flashlight and camera controls on the lock screen. To customize lock screen controls, users can go to Settings, select Wallpaper, and tap Customize. They can remove existing controls by tapping the minus sign and add new ones from a menu, including options like Translate and Quick Note. The new "Open App" feature lets users select any app to access from the lock screen, enhancing convenience. Users still need to unlock their iPhones to open the app.
