Apple restores volume bar to iOS 18.2 lock screen for easier audio control

Apple released iOS 18.2 in December, introducing new features like Genmoji and the Image Playground app. A key change allows users to add a volume bar back to the Lock Screen, enhancing control over audio without unlocking the device. Previously, the volume bar was removed in iOS 16, forcing users to adjust volume using side buttons. This limited precise volume control, as adjustments were set amounts. The new update restores the volume bar for easier access. To enable the volume bar, users can go to Settings, then Accessibility, and toggle on Always Show Volume Control. This feature allows for more precise volume adjustments while listening to music or podcasts.
