Apple plans OLED upgrades for iPad and MacBook lines by 2028

Apple plans to upgrade its iPad and MacBook lines with OLED displays, according to a new roadmap. The MacBook Pro and iPad mini are expected to be the first devices to feature OLED technology, potentially launching in 2026. The MacBook Pro will include Tandem OLED panels, while the iPad mini will use single-layer OLED. Display sizes for the MacBook Pro will slightly increase, and the iPad Air is set to receive OLED screens by 2027. In 2028, both the iPad Pro and MacBook Air will also adopt OLED technology, with the iPad Pro featuring Tandem OLED. A foldable device with an 18.8-inch OLED screen is also rumored for release in 2028.
