This feature supports Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets. Transactions are secure and do not share purchase details with Apple. Merchants can use an iPhone XS or later to process payments without needing extra hardware, thanks to support from SumUp. Tap to Pay on iPhone was first introduced in the United States in February 2022 and has since expanded to several countries, including Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
