Apple's MacBook Air will not receive an OLED display until around 2028, according to a new timeline from research firm Omdia. This is nearly two years after the MacBook Pro is set to get OLED in 2026. Additionally, when the MacBook Air does get OLED, it will still feature the current notch design. In contrast, the MacBook Pro will adopt a smaller hole-punch cutout with its upgrade. The delay in OLED technology for the MacBook Air is notable, as both the iPad mini and iPad Air are expected to receive OLED displays before the MacBook Air.
