Aorangi gymnastics team shines at 2024 NZ Championships

The Aorangi Gymnastics team excelled at the 2024 NZ Gymnastics Championships in Palmerston North, winning multiple medals in both aerobic and women's artistic gymnastics. They achieved gold medals in aerobics and received proficiency awards, marking significant accomplishments. Aorangi also won the Best Conducted Province Award for Aerobics, a first for the team. This award recognizes team conduct, spirit, and sportsmanship during the event. The team celebrated their achievements despite the departure of head coach Flaminio Oliveira, who returned to Brazil. The competition was a positive experience for many participants, including six girls competing at nationals for the first time. The week was described as exhausting but rewarding, with the team showing strong support for one another throughout the event.
