Anthropic adds AI ROI tracking tools to Claude Enterprise

zdnet.com —

Anthropic has made three AI tracking features generally available for Claude Enterprise plans, aiming to give businesses clearer insights into return on investment. The tools include smart reports, pooled budgets, and in-app surveys, all previously in beta since September. Smart reports track employee usage of Claude, including task frequency, costs, and workflow friction points, though they are off by default and not intended for performance evaluation. Pooled budgets allow admins to set group-level monthly spending caps alongside individual limits, optimizing usage across teams. Claude Enterprise costs $20 per seat monthly plus API token rates, making it pricier than Teams plans. The move comes as Anthropic faces competitive pressure from OpenAI and filed for its IPO on Monday, with recent data showing its enterprise spend peaked in July.
