Anne Hathaway Rules the 2026 Box Office With Five Films

Anne Hathaway has become the box office queen of 2026, with her fifth film of the year, Verity, overperforming in its debut and securing her third major hit of the year. Verity, an Amazon MGM psychological thriller directed by Michael Showalter, grossed over $33 million domestically and more than $50 million worldwide against a $40 million budget, despite poor reviews. It outperformed Warner Bros.' Digger, aided by momentum from the Colleen Hoover adaptation It Ends with Us. Hathaway's other 2026 hits include The Odyssey and The Devil Wears Prada 2, which combined for roughly $2.5 billion globally, plus The End of Oak Street with $120 million worldwide. Verity stars Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, and opened on October 2.
