Android users to get new button to block spam messages in Google Messages

Android users will soon have a new button to stop spam messages that take up storage space. This feature was found in the code for the latest beta update of Google Messages, aimed at reducing unwanted RCS Business Messages. The new 'STOP' button will allow users to unsubscribe from marketing messages easily. It will appear when receiving a spam message, eliminating the need to manually block senders or reply to unsubscribe. Additionally, users will receive notifications about the sender's verification and whether the chat is end-to-end encrypted. The rollout date for this feature has not been announced.
