Andhra Minister urges faster land acquisition for Jilledubanda Reservoir project in Dharmavaram
Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has requested Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu to speed up the land acquisition for the Jilledubanda Reservoir (JBR) project in Dharmavaram. The project aims to provide drinking and irrigation water to local areas. Yadav highlighted that land acquisition has been stalled under the current government, with 2,790 acres out of the required 3,378 acres still pending. He emphasized the need for the release of ₹93.59 crore to complete the first phase of the project. The JBR project is crucial for addressing water shortages in the drought-affected Dharmavaram region. Yadav noted that the reservoir would support irrigation for 23,000 acres and fulfill local water needs, marking a long-awaited goal for the community.
