Ancient clay figurines discovered at El Salvador pyramid may have been used in ritual puppet shows

Five clay figurines were unearthed from the summit of the largest pyramid at the San Isidro archaeological site in El Salvador. The figurines, believed to be around 2,400 years old, were likely used in ritualistic puppet shows, with their expressions changing dramatically based on viewing angle. These figures, measuring 4-12 inches, may have conveyed messages to audiences and are similar to previously discovered "bolina" figures.
