A 57-year-old man has died from an amoebic brain infection in Attingal. The deceased, a construction worker, was undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. He had sustained a leg injury a month prior after falling into a stream while working. Health officials are investigating the source of the infection, as the exact location where he contracted the disease is unclear. Water samples from potentially affected areas will be tested.
