Amit Shah will attend Assam Rifles relocation ceremony

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Mizoram on Saturday to attend a ceremony for the relocation of the Assam Rifles battalion headquarters from Aizawl to Zokhawsang. This event follows an invitation from Chief Minister Lalduhoma. The relocation was announced in the state assembly and is part of an agreement signed last October. The Assam Rifles will vacate most city properties, retaining only specific locations in Aizawl. Shah's visit includes a helicopter transfer to the ceremony at the Assam Rifles headquarters, scheduled from 3 PM to 4 PM. He will depart for Guwahati shortly after the event.
