Amit Shah presents FCRA bill to break Indian Parliament deadlock, addresses NEET force use

India's Parliament deadlock may end as Home Minister Amit Shah is set to present the FCRA bill and possibly make a statement on the use of force during NEET agitation. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has made three attempts in three days to persuade opposition leader Rahul Gandhi to end the Lok Sabha deadlock. The government seeks passage of women's reservation and delimitation constitutional amendment bills during the Monsoon Session. Delimitation would increase Lok Sabha and assembly seats by 50 percent; delay could jeopardize women's reservation by 2029. Gandhi reiterated demands for an all-party meeting and discussion on other issues.
