Ambala faces flooding as drainage system fails during heavy rain

Heavy rainfall submerged Ambala City and Cantonment, exposing the Municipal Corporation's failed drainage system. Around 68 mm of rain caused widespread waterlogging, affecting key commercial and residential areas, including schools. Railway underpasses, built at significant cost, also experienced leakage and flooding. The downpour led to traffic jams and stranded vehicles. Residents expressed anger over the lack of preparedness, questioning the quality of infrastructure and the corporation's pre-monsoon claims.
