Amateur trainer Angelica Jonsson chases historic Swedish Trotting Derby win

Amateur trainer Angelica Jonsson has qualified her horse Carros First King for the final of the Swedish Trotting Derby at Jägersro on Sunday, calling the achievement "incomprehensibly big" and potentially her only chance to train a Derby finalist. The horse won its elimination race impressively with driver Björn Goop, and Jonsson, who works shifts at Kinnarps and runs a small stable with her partner, says the horse is in top form. A victory would make her the first amateur trainer to win in 49 years and only the second female trainer ever. Carros First King starts from post three in the race, which offers a first prize of two million kronor, and Jonsson admits she will be nervous, saying a win would be the biggest moment of her life and would call for a celebration with everyone she knows.
