"Amaran" to stream on Netflix from December 5 after successful theatrical run

The Tamil biographical drama "Amaran," starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, will be available for streaming on Netflix starting December 5. This follows a successful five-week theatrical run, where it grossed over Rs 320 crore. Originally set for an earlier release, the digital debut was postponed due to the film's strong box office performance. "Amaran" is inspired by the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan and has become Sivakarthikeyan's highest-grossing film. The film's success is marked by over 4.5 million tickets sold, making it one of the top Tamil films of 2024. Sivakarthikeyan was recently honored by the Officers Training Academy in Chennai for his role in the film.
