Alvaston fire prompts police warning; residents should stay away

A bungalow fire in Alvaston, Derby, prompted a police warning for residents to avoid the area and close their windows due to smoke. Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to numerous calls reporting the fire on Radford Street, deploying six engines, a command unit, and an aerial ladder platform after 6 PM. All occupants were safely out of the building. Police advised the public to stay away from Radford Street and the surrounding area due to the large presence of emergency vehicles and the ongoing fire.
