Alsace commune introduces anti-solicitation sticker and fines

Nordhouse, France, has introduced an anti-solicitation sticker and municipal decree to deter unwanted door-to-door sales. The initiative, launched January 13, allows residents to display a sticker, making any subsequent solicitation subject to penalties. This aims to reduce frequent and sometimes late-night visits from salespeople. Violators face potential fines up to €150,000 and a year in prison. The stickers are free and available at the town hall.
