Alouettes beat Blue Bombers 37-10 to clinch East Division title
The Montreal Alouettes defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 37-10 on Saturday, securing first place in the East Division standings. Philpot had his best game of the season, setting three records, including most receptions in a season for the Alouettes and most catches and yards for a Canadian receiver in the CFL. Rohan Jones scored his first career touchdown, while Stevie Scott III and Caleb Evans also scored majors for Montreal (12-3). Winnipeg (7-8) got a touchdown from Ontaria Wilson and a field goal from Sergio Castillo. Knowing first place was within reach after Toronto's loss, Montreal started quickly, scoring on their first drive. Philpot broke the team reception record previously held by Ben Cahoon and Jamel Richardson, and later surpassed Brad Sinopoli's record for most catches by a Canadian receiver.
