Almost 300 people daily opt out of organ donation register

Nearly 300 people daily have opted out of the organ donation register since new legislation took effect six months ago. By December 31st, 58,482 individuals had registered their objection to organ donation under the opt-out system. The law presumes consent for organ donation unless explicitly refused, though families are always consulted.
