Alicante stores open; Elche stores mostly closed

On Friday, August 15, 2025, several shopping centers and supermarkets in Alicante will be open, while most in Elche will remain closed. In Alicante, El Corte Inglés will open from 11:00 to 21:00. Lidl stores on specific avenues will operate from 9:00 to 22:00. Carrefour and Aldi will open with their usual or holiday hours. Puerta de Alicante and Gran Vía shopping centers will be open, with Gran Vía operating from 9:00 to 24:00. Plaza Mar 2 will have special hours from 11:00 to 22:00. Mercadona on Avenida de las Naciones 4 will open from 9:00 to 15:00, with other Mercadona locations closed. In Elche, all major supermarkets including Mercadona, Lidl, Carrefour, and Aldi will be closed. El Corte Inglés Ciudad de Elche will also be closed. However, leisure and dining establishments within the L'Aljub shopping center will be open.
