ALERT arrests Wainwright drug dealer, seizes drugs, gun

A 48-year-old man was arrested in Wainwright and charged with drug trafficking after authorities seized a loaded handgun and $32,000 worth of drugs. The arrest followed an investigation by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ALERT) on May 2, targeting alleged drug trafficking in Wainwright, Lloydminster, and Lashburn. The man was apprehended after reportedly collecting drugs from Edmonton. A 21-year-old associate was also arrested in Edmonton. The man faces multiple charges including drug possession with intent to traffic and weapons offenses.
