Akshay Kumar's film Shankara is now titled Kesari Chapter 2, set for March release

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, previously titled Shankara, has been renamed Kesari Chapter 2. The historical drama, co-starring R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, will be released on March 14, 2025, during the Holi festival. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film tells the story of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and freedom fighter involved in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre case. This differs from the earlier Kesari, which focused on the Battle of Saragarhi. The title change suggests a thematic link to the 2019 film, which also starred Kumar and was released on Holi. Kesari Chapter 2 aims to attract audiences with its historical narrative and strong cast.
