AI made a Kalshi NBA Finals ad cheaply
An advertisement for the betting platform Kalshi, entirely generated by artificial intelligence, aired during an NBA Finals game, costing only $2,000 to produce. The ad featured surreal scenes and a tagline encouraging viewers to "handle" the world's craziness. The AI-created commercial, which included a man riding an alligator, was created by "AI filmmaker" PJ Accetturo using Google's Gemini chatbot and the Veo 3 video generator. Kalshi confirmed they commissioned Accetturo, who said the project took three days to complete. Accetturo explained he used AI to generate the script, prompts, and visuals, emphasizing the speed and cost-effectiveness of the process. The ad is projected to reach 20 million impressions, and Kalshi plans to explore more AI-generated content.
