AfD's new lawmakers in Saxony-Anhalt include ex-Stasi agent and convicted fraudster

Following its electoral victory in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, the far-right AfD party has gained 20 new members in the state parliament, several of whom have ties to extremism, criminality, and pornography. Investigations show some incoming members are linked to the banned far-right network "Artgemeinschaft," with two members under investigation for suspected ties and weapons offenses. The group also includes a former Stasi agent, a convicted thief and fraudster who appeared in porn films, and only two women. The AfD won 39 of 83 seats, falling short of a majority, and has begun talks with the nationalist BSW party, which holds the balance of power.
