Aegean Airlines carries 2 million passengers in July 2026, a record for Greek and overseas routes
AEGEAN carried 2,011,000 passengers in July 2026, surpassing two million in a single month for the first time and setting a new historic company record. Passenger numbers rose 5.3% annually on both domestic and international networks: 886,000 travelers on 66 domestic routes to 32 destinations, and 1,125,000 on 154 international routes to 108 destinations across 43 countries. Growth held despite Middle East tensions and high fuel costs. For a third year, AEGEAN added direct connections from Thessaloniki, Heraklion, and Rhodes to smaller destinations. Deputy CEO Michalis Kouveliotis cited seven new A321neo aircraft in 2026 and extra spare aircraft and crews for resilience.
