Actress Miho Owada's 10-year-old daughter studies in Thailand

Japanese actress Miho Owada revealed on her YouTube channel on September 1 that her 10-year-old daughter has been studying in Thailand since last summer. The child lives in a dormitory, with Owada visiting Bangkok on weekends to spend time together. Owada, daughter of actor Baku Owada and the late Kumiko Okae who died of COVID-19 in 2020, explained her daughter chose Thailand because "people are kind." The family had traveled there two years prior, and the daughter was impressed by locals giving up seats for children on trains. Owada initially planned to relocate with her daughter but the school offered dormitory housing, leading to their separate living arrangement. The single mother, who divorced in 2018, said her daughter copes with loneliness by sleeping, and expressed pride that she managed not to cry when dropping her off.
