Aaron Pierre makes singing debut as Mufasa in new Lion King film

Aaron Pierre stars as Mufasa in Disney's new film "Mufasa: The Lion King," releasing on December 20. This role marks his first public singing experience, as he had only sung in private before. Pierre takes on a character originally voiced by James Earl Jones. He sings three songs in the film, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including duets with Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Tiffany Boone. The film combines live action and computer animation, similar to the 2019 version. Pierre and his co-stars expressed excitement about being part of the project during a premiere event at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
