Aarey milk brand returns to Mumbai with 50,000 liters of production

Aarey milk brand will soon return to Mumbai streets with 50,000 liters of production. The state dairy development department is reviving the Aarey brand, with Mahananda cooperative tasked to produce milk for distribution through 1,800 Aarey stalls. Energee flavored milk will also be supplied. This move comes as government dairies declined after the 1990s, with Aarey Colony land being repurposed. The dairy development department has significantly reduced staff over the years.
