A band reunion led to a lifelong love and a new album

Former bandmates Jacqui Hunt and Brian Conolly, who met as teenagers in 1982, reunited decades later and fell in love, culminating in a musical collaboration on her new album, Desiderium. Hunt, 60, and Conolly, 62, reconnected via Facebook in 2012 while both were in troubled relationships. Conolly declared his love with an Italian message, "Ti amo," and Hunt responded by sending him a song she had created from his poem. The couple moved in together immediately, and Hunt later told her husband she was in love with someone else. They have since supported each other through family deaths and Hunt's 2024 breast cancer diagnosis.
