7 Bollywood Stars Who Retracted or Clarified Controversial Remarks

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has clarified that a recent remark about not feeling at peace in India was scripted and not his personal view, following online backlash. He is the latest of several celebrities to face such controversy. Dutt made the comment during an appearance on Shekhar Suman's show, where he discussed peace in the country. He explained the segment was intended as light-hearted humor inspired by his Munna Bhai films and "Gandhigiri," reiterating this clarification on October 6. Other actors have faced similar situations, including Swara Bhasker, who denied calling historical figures "cowards," and Ranbir Kapoor, who apologized for a joke about Alia Bhatt's pregnancy. Nora Fatehi and Annu Kapoor also addressed viral clips they said lacked context.
