5 Boro Foto Fest Debuts in Long Island City This Fall

The inaugural 5 Boro Foto Fest, a new photography festival, will take place in Long Island City, Queens, on Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is a collaboration between The Phoblographer, Corse Design, Mallon Productions and Culture Lab LIC. The festival will create an artist-alley-style marketplace where photographers, galleries, collectives and independent storefronts can showcase and sell work in physical formats, including fine-art prints, zines, books and mixed-media pieces. Organizers describe it as a flea market with photographers as vendors, allowing art lovers to meet creators directly. The event is promoted as an AI-free celebration of photography made in New York, offering a counterpoint to an increasingly digital and algorithm-driven creative landscape. It aims to support local photographers and collectors.
