2027 Hall of Fame class predictions: Gronkowski, Peterson, Belichick headline

The 2027 Pro Football Hall of Fame class is predicted to include tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Jason Witten, running back Adrian Peterson, and coach Bill Belichick, among others, according to Grant Gordon's projections. The predictions come as the 2026 class, featuring Drew Brees and Larry Fitzgerald, is honored in Canton. Gronkowski is expected to be a first-ballot inductee after a career with 92 touchdown receptions, third all-time among tight ends, and four Super Bowl wins. Peterson, also a first-ballot pick, ranks fifth in career rushing yards with 14,918 and won the 2012 MVP. Witten, with 1,228 receptions, could join Gronkowski in a historic two-tight-end class. Longtime finalists Willie Anderson and Torry Holt are also predicted to finally gain entry after years of waiting. Belichick, a six-time Super Bowl-winning coach, is the bonus pick after being passed over in his first year of eligibility.
