12 must-see shows at Temporada Alta 2026 in Girona and Salt

The Temporada Alta performing arts festival will run from October 3 to December 8 in Girona and Salt, featuring a selection of 12 notable works by international masters and radical voices. Highlights include Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's tragicomedy "Has been," Christiane Jatahy's revisit of "Júlia," and Guy Cassiers' "Thésée, sa vie nouvelle." Other featured pieces explore themes from family trauma to political satire, with performances by renowned companies and artists. The program also includes works by Pablo Messiez, Xavier Bobés, Agnès Mateus, and Quim Tarrida, plus the return of Peeping Tom's "Le Salon" and Rocío Molina's "Calentamiento." Romeo Castellucci's "Faust" and "Everything Must Change" close the festival.
