10 arrested at Lollapalooza in Grant Park on charges from drone to drug possession

At least 10 people were arrested at Lollapalooza in Grant Park, facing charges including unauthorized drone operation, unlicensed poncho sales, and assault. The most serious case involved a felony drug possession charge. Arrests occurred evenly across Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with none on Sunday, down from 12 last year. Incidents included a Chicago man flying a drone over the festival, a Michigan man charged with assault and battery, and a Wheeling man cited for illegal peddling who also had an outstanding warrant. The only felony arrest was a Wisconsin man who punched a security guard while trying to enter backstage and was found with suspected cocaine. Six others faced misdemeanors for trespassing, battery, and reckless conduct. Hospitalizations rose to 67 festivalgoers this year.
