Veteran Indian film technician Sudheer Chithranjali died at age 70 on Thursday morning at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram following a battle with cancer. His funeral is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 AM. Chithranjali worked on over 500 films during a career spanning from black-and-white to digital technology. He served at Merryland Studio, Chitralekha Studio, and Chithranjali Studio, retiring as film officer in 2014. He won a National Award for the documentary Mohiniyattam and multiple State Awards for best lab work. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.
