Ukrainian 2000s singer Oksana Voiazh said a sympathoadrenal crisis caused her weight to drop to 45 kilograms, leaving her severely frail and forcing her from public view. Doctors initially said she was healthy despite heart attacks, tremors, and numbness; she was diagnosed after a month. Medical treatment failed, so she attended church services against curses for over six months. She concealed her condition from beauty salon clients by claiming therapeutic fasting. A woman at church, whom Voiazh called a witch, predicted her recovery after 15 communions, which Voiazh said came true.
