Ukraine's Tax Service Unveils Support Plan for Businesses Hit by Russian Shelling

Ukraine's State Tax Service has prepared a package of measures to support businesses affected by Russian shelling, including individual support and a risk-based approach to tax administration. Acting head Lesia Karnaukh announced the plan at a meeting with over 60 business associations. Key measures include identifying affected businesses through official data without requiring certificates, considering attack consequences in risk assessments, and limiting tax control to real risks only. The service will use the Electronic Cabinet to avoid paperwork, notify businesses about tax debt, and assign personal supervisors for critically damaged enterprises. Karnaukh noted some measures require legislative changes, while broader issues like VAT refunds and currency control were also discussed.
